Step back in time and Capture all the Outer Banks have to offer.
Join us on this five day workshop while we explore the coasts, wildlife and lighthouses of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Join David as he shares his knowledge of photography and this unique location. Our journey will take us to Lake Mattamuskeet and surrounding lakes where we take advantage of the winter resting areas for thousands of snow geese and many other water fowl. We will share the best the banks have to offer for coastal imagery including light houses, sand dunes and unique ocean conditions. Later, we may attempt to locate the wild ponies of the northern outer banks in golden light and if weather permits, we will venture out to take advantage of the area’s amazingly dark sky and photograph some unique nightscapes.
A detailed itinerary is not possible as we will have to match our locations to the ever changing weather conditions offered by the Outer Banks. Our plan is to have ample time for onsite instruction as well as setting time aside for photo sharing, critiquing and discussion.
We will start our adventure on Wednesday evening the 22nd of January and end after the sunrise shoot on the 26th. Workshop participants are responsible for their own lodging, meals and transportation. Carpooling will be encouraged and arranged once we have all gathered together. While you are welcome to stay anywhere you prefer, we will have a limited number of rooms available at our host hotel. Details to follow upon signing up.
