Make the most of this special time of year!
Rhododendron, Flame Azaleas, Mountain Laurel and the illusive Gray’s Lily are awaiting to accentuate the already incredible landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Those who join me on this 3 and a half day adventure will learn to capture the best these historic mountains have to offer.
This workshop will focus on photographing scenes that can only be captured during this brief time period where the southeast’s most beautiful blooms create amazing photographic subjects and stunning foregrounds for the mountains and waterfalls of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whether using your camera, cell phone or another electronic device, knowing when and where to be is key to obtaining the best images. We’ll travel western North Carolina’s most famous byways photographing classic scenes of the area along the way to the day’s best locations.
We will strive to match our locations to weather conditions so while a detailed itinerary is not available, a flexible schedule will be provided as time draws near. If weather permits and conditions are right, we may try to fit in a night shoot as well. I like to keep my groups small to allow for plenty of one on one instruction. We will base ourselves near the Asheville area. Specific hotel details will be provided along with a list of suggested items to bring once you are signed up.
This workshop is for all skill levels. Whether you are new to photography looking to learn the basics, a seasoned photographer looking for new locations to capture great images or simply looking for a guide to seek the beauty nature has to offer, this workshop delivers.
