This Week in Photography

A busy week in photography just got busier with a crazy storm approaching the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. It has been the 70’s (20’s C) for the past couple of weeks in the Piedmont, but the high country is about to get a freak snow storm with sustained winds of 45mph!

While I don’t expect it will look like it did a couple of months ago when I took this image, the wind chill on Roan High Knob is expected to be negative 15 degrees Fahrenheit on Saturday morning ! Thats – 26 C to you folks overseas with a proper measuring system. First snow fall is Wednesday night. I plan to be shooting Thursday morning trying to find a bloom somewhere peaking through the snow.

WORKSHOP – On Thursday of this week I’m taking a couple of people up to Stone Mountain near Elkin, NC for some photography lessons and hiking. We are going to shoot some waterfalls and streams and hope for a good sunset.
